Welcome to Full Circle, where the art of enjoyment meets sustainable innovation. Our story begins in the vibrant streets of Amsterdam, where two former psychology students, Branco and Stijn, not only explored the human psyche during their studies, but also worked in the diverse world of gastronomy.
The alleys of Amsterdam, in restaurants and bars, not only served food, but also nurtured a deep passion for sustainable living. Branco and Stijn shared the dream of promoting sustainable practices while celebrating the culinary delights. This is how the idea came about to create a special liqueur from organic orange peels and halves, which were previously used in bars, cafés and restaurants for juices and drinks.
Full Circle / Orangecello: Where sustainability meets enjoyment
Our journey begins with our dedicated staff riding cargo bikes around Amsterdam every week to collect the peels and halves. These come from the heart of the city's culinary scene and are lovingly reused rather than wasted. It is not only a gesture of sustainability, but also a tribute to the diversity and taste that Amsterdam has to offer.
In our distillery, each orange is carefully treated by hand. Only the top layer of each shell is peeled away very thinly - an art that requires precision and experience. Why? Because bitter substances lurk just beneath this layer, while the rest is fermented to develop unique nuances.
These paper-thin peels are then stored in pure alcohol with a selection of special herbs for approximately six weeks. This process, combined with traditional craftsmanship and innovative approaches, gives our liqueur not only its incomparable taste, but also its soul. At Full Circle we believe in the fusion of tradition and modernity, of craftsmanship and innovation. And you can taste that in every sip of our unique liqueur.
